With over 30 years of experience in RFID, GPS, and related security technologies, Paul Arguin brings a wealth of Technology and Engineering expertise across all RFID enabled industries globally, with a proven track record of delivering scalable, innovative solutions that drive operational efficiencies and compliance.
Paul’s career is most pronounced when assisting Retailers and Brands in establishing their RFID Programs – where Paul brings his unique combination of a technologist with a pragmatic business sense to connect the RFID technology ideas with the end user’s specific needs.
- Paul Arguin is currently the Vice President of Global RFID Technology solutions at r-pac International, since 2012, where he leads a team of engineers and product developers in the design, development, and delivery of r-pac’s VSBL RFID solutions for Supply Chain automation, validation, and digitization of tagged items/products from source tagging through DCs and stores.
- Prior to r-pac, Paul led the concept, design, development, and implementation of RFID Program for Conair Corporation – one of the earliest adopters of RFID supporting Walmart and other Retailers. Championed the internal ROI opportunities for Conair – with proven metrics of significant operational cost savings as a result of RFID/EPC tagging – including Cuisinart, Warring, and other products.
- While at Conair Corporation, Paul successfully developed and launched a subsidiary, Conair LLC, focused on RFID, GPS and security technologies for both internal and external customer engagements with Retailers / End Users. Led early development of several RFID tags and inlays for application on Conair Products, extendable for General Apparel. Managed the manufacture of USA ID product line.
- Paul has several RFID System patents recognized by US PTO including RFID-enabled ISO 17712 high security cargo seal for intermodal shipping; portable battery operated GPS tracker and internet based portal for cargo shipment tracking, and more.
- Paul is a key contributor and a strong collaborator across the global RFID industry networks – including Universities (such as Auburn RFID Lab), several GS1 working groups related to RFID/EPC, and various RFID Industry Boards across the decades. Paul has delivered significant contribution for broader industry awareness and knowledge build for realization of internal ROI beyond Compliance – as an example, where the success of the RFID Program at Conair remains even today a benchmark; referenced in multitudes of case studies, reports, and articles – including from GS1 US.
