Speaker Biography
As Senior Vice President of Customer Success at GS1 US, Melanie Nuce-Hilton leads the teams that help businesses across 25 industries, including apparel, general merchandise, foodservice, retail grocery, and healthcare, unlock the power of GS1 Standards to support supply chain visibility, efficiency, collaboration, and regulatory compliance. Nuce-Hilton oversees GS1 Standards offerings, industry initiatives, education and training, product management, and customer support functions. Additionally, she guides the GS1 US Innovation team tasked with helping businesses explore how technologies—like artificial intelligence, machine vision, and the Internet of Things—can advance supply chain management and sustainability.

Before her current role, Nuce-Hilton led Corporate Development at GS1 US, focused on how GS1 Standards combined with emerging technologies can drive business process efficiencies and innovation. She also served as Vice President of Apparel and General Merchandise, leading initiatives to improve inventory accuracy, product data exchange, and end-to-end traceability.

Prior to joining GS1 US, Nuce-Hilton was the director of retail industry marketing at GXS (now OpenText) and also served as a global product manager for both supply chain visibility and data synchronization applications at GXS. Nuce-Hilton also spent several years in various supply chain and consulting roles, with an emphasis on business-to-business relationships, electronic data interchange implementation and warehouse automation projects.

An advocate for industry-wide progress, Nuce-Hilton actively contributes to the development of global standards and frequently speaks at major conferences, including the National Retail Federation’s BIG Show and the Council for Supply Chain Management Professionals Edge Conference. She is also a recognized thought leader in in retail, supply chain and technology, frequently featured in media outlets such as LiveNow Fox, The Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, Forbes and MIT Technology Review.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in professional studies from Bethany University.
