Angela Nardone is the Chief Operating Officer for Share-ify and oversees product innovation for all Share-ify solutions. Angela’s career began in investment banking and the capital markets where she assisted technology companies with creating business plans, capital fundraising, and with mergers and acquisitions. Her initial focus was in physical security and national defense with a focus on security technologies including RFID for traceability uses. Post 9/11, traceability use cases expanded very rapidly and ultimately shifted to food with the Walmart RFID initiative in the early 2000’s and post Spinach outbreak in 2006. In 2008, Angela purchased the company that later became Share-ify. When arriving, the company had a focus solely in the produce industry within the United States. Now, 15 years later, Share-ify has over 35,000 companies across 59 countries in the retail, foodservice, distribution, importing, food processing, manufacturing, and packaging industries. Since 2008, Angela was named ‘Top 20 Women in the Industry’ by The Packer and “Top 40 Under 40’ by Produce Business Magazine and many other industry awards for company performance. Under her leadership, the company was also the winner for IBM’s prestigious Beacon Award for Midmarket technology company. Angela has served on numerous industry boards and committees including the Board of the International Fresh Produce Association (IAFP) and an original member of the Produce Traceability Initiative (PTI) Council. She currently serves as the Chair of the Communications Committee for the Conference for Food Protection which she has been a member of since 2010. She also serves as the Co-Chair for Produce Traceability Initiative's Implementation Working Group and other groups creating guidelines and standards for the industry.
