Les Louden, PharmD, MS
West Region Pharmacy Director | BayCare Health System
Les Louden, PharmD, MS is the West Region Pharmacy Director for BayCare Health System, providing executive leadership for pharmaceutical services across six hospitals in Pasco and Pinellas counties, representing approximately 1,700 licensed beds and more than $150M in annual medication spend. His regional portfolio spans BayCare’s integrated academic health system, including tertiary and community hospitals, long term acute care, infusion centers, and freestanding emergency department services.
Les has extensive experience advancing RFID enabled inventory management to improve medication visibility, waste reduction, and financial performance across complex health system environments. He is the recipient of a 2025 ASHP Foundation–funded RFID research grant and has served as a principal or co investigator on multiple multisite, industry sponsored studies evaluating medication use system efficiency and waste reduction, with publications in peer reviewed journals. He is the Immediate Past President of the Southwest Society of Health System Pharmacists and previously served as a board member of the UnitVisID™ Alliance.
