Dr. Miguel Rodríguez García is a Research Scientist and Lecturer at the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics. He is part of the Omnichannel Supply Chain Lab, where he leads the Warehouse of the Future Initiative.
His current research focuses on the future of supply chains and warehouses due to technology developments. Specifically, he is working on two main areas: 1) studying how companies should evaluate and implement new technologies and 2) evaluating the risks that these new technologies present that could disrupt supply chain operations at a large scale.
Miguel has a progressive career in Supply Chain Management, with 10 years of experience in the research, consulting and education industries. He has a broad knowledge on all aspects of supply chain aspects including Procurement, Warehousing, Manufacturing and Transportation, although he is an expert on E-commerce Logistics and Omnichannel supply chains.
He's passionate about teaching and transferring knowledge to new generations of logistics and SCM leaders, and he leads the largest online course of the MicroMasters program in Supply Chain Management with over 20,000 students per year.
