Born in the Netherlands, raised in Belgium, and educated in Austria, Marinus has worked across Western Europe where these experiences shaped him into a multicultural, bilingual professional and instilled in him a strong sense of curiosity and adaptability.

His eagerness to learn led him to earn a bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees: mining engineering (the foundation of many industries) and theoretical physics, driven by a desire to understand the underlying principles of the world. He later completed a doctorate on a highly complex topic and an MBA, further strengthening his ability to analyze and break down complex problems.

Marinus has worked in a wide range of environments while consistently maintaining a strong focus on both internal and external customers. His independent and creative approach has led to the development of disruptive new products across industries, including food, security, data, and platforms. He is a self-starter who continually questions the status quo.
