Description

The RAIN RFID* (radio frequency identification) ecosystem is evolving rapidly—and so are the many applications and industries that rely on it. This session from the RAIN Alliance will offer a high-level look at the strategic initiatives, standards developments, and collaborative efforts guiding the continued growth and maturation of RAIN RFID encoded according to GS1 EPC standards. We’ll discuss how end users, solution providers, and standards bodies are working together to support more consistent performance and interoperability across a wide range of environments and use cases. Attendees will also gain insight into the expanding landscape of item-level digital identity, including how RAIN RFID aligns with GS1 Standards to enable connected products and a more transparent and efficient supply chain.

*What is RAIN RFID? Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a technology that enables the sharing of data encoded in RFID tags via RFID scanners. The term RAIN RFID specifies use of the UHF frequency band, which leverages the GS1® air interface protocol to communicate with tags.
