David G Brown is the Sr Manager of DSCSA Compliance at Walgreens and is responsible for leading compliance with the Drug Supply Chain Security Act in retail, specialty, and warehouse distribution locations.

Mr. Brown has worked in pharmacy for almost 20 years, where he started as a pharmacy technician. Since joining Walgreens 14 years ago, he has collaborated with cross-industry stakeholders on compliance initiatives such as NCPDP SCRIPT Standard v2017071, USP 800, and DSCSA compliance by leading work/task group meetings and participating in industry pilots. Mr. Brown’s goals during each compliance initiative are meeting regulatory requirements, pushing for greater operational efficiencies, and delivering the highest quality and patient safety standards.

Mr. Brown is a member of different trade association work groups/committees, such as Partnership for DSCSA Governance (PDG) and GS1 Healthcare US who are helping trading partners in their efforts to meet the DSCSA's Enhanced Drug Distribution Security (EDDS) requirements.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree and completed a double major in Biology and Psychology from Loyola University Chicago.
