Patrick Hoermann began his professional career with an apprenticeship as a wholesaler. As an SAP key user for sales, procurement, and logistics, he discovered his passion for the dynamic world of logistics. Since then, he has been driven by a deep enthusiasm for efficient processes, intelligent system integration, and cutting-edge logistics solutions.

For over 15 years, Patrick Hoermann has been a key figure in the logistics operations of SPAR AG – the market leader in the Austrian food retail industry. He currently manages the warehouse at SPAR’s logistics center in Ebergassing, one of the most technologically advanced facilities in Austria. Prior to this, he held numerous key roles at the site – from team leader to overseeing the entire goods flow – and is now preparing for his next challenge: starting in July 2025, he will take on the role of Head of Logistics for DESPAR Northern Italy.

The Ebergassing logistics center stands as a beacon of innovation: with its exceptionally high level of automation, fully digitalized goods flows, and highly precise master data management, it is a flagship example of modern warehouse operations.

In addition to his extensive practical experience, Patrick Hoermann is currently deepening his expertise through his studies in International Logistics Management at the University of Applied Sciences in Steyr
