Born in the Netherlands, raised in Belgium, studied in Austria, worked in all western Europe. Experiences that made me multicultural and bilingual in 3 languages and taught me to stay curious and flexible. Moving to a completely new environment, alone or with a family of five, requires communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

My curiosity and eagerness to learn made me pass a bachelor and two master degrees within 6 years: mining engineering (the base of any industry) and theoretical physics so I could understand why everything is as it is. Studying two studies in parallel teaches you to prioritise, both personally and professionally. Adding a doctorate on a highly complex topic and an MBA finetuned my capabilities of analysing and breaking down complex problems.

I have worked in many environments. From the secure position at a university up to the roller-coaster called start-up. I am proud to state that even though I have always worked in highly technical environments, I never lost sight of the internal and external customer. I enjoy working with people, people appreciate working with me and accept me as a natural leader, lateral or direct.
My independent creativity brought disruptive new products to live. Be it in food, security, data, or platforms. I am a self-starter who likes to question the status quo. Digging for and finding the exact requirements and turning them into high quality software with a strong Ux is the most rewarding part of the journey, which also led me to teaching these topics at universities and pursue a career as product manager.
