Don is an Operational Excellence Deployment Leader within the Pharmaceutical Segment of Cardinal Health. He leads the continuous improvement efforts for all non-supply chain, transactional business units in the segment including Commercial Enablement, Global Financial Shared Services, Marketing, Quality & Regulatory Affairs. His team of seven LSS Black Belts is responsible for integrating Operational Excellence philosophies and methods to improve business performance, enhance the customer experience, and drive transactional efficiencies. Don has supported DC operations, transactional operations and strategic planning, and business integration activities during his fifteen years at Cardinal Health.

Don’s engagement with GS-1 and Global Location Numbers began in 2023 when he was named the Customer and Product Master Data DSCSA Preparedness Lead. In this role, Don has coordinated the collection, validation, account attachment of over 200K GLNs throughout Cardinal’s Pharmaceutical Segment businesses. He has presented to multiple customers and at multiple conferences while also serving as Cardinal’s representative on a cross-industry GLN committee with other HDA supply chain members.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Don has a variety of business experiences ranging from Sales, LTL Freight Operations, Distribution Center Operations, Product Management and Restaurant Management. These experiences came from time spent with NOVUS Auto Glass, NationsWay Transport, Limited Logistics Services and Max & Erma’s Restaurants.

Don has a bachelor’s degree in Production and Operations Management from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Don earned his Black Belt certification from Cardinal Health in 2014.
