Andrew Meyer, in his role as Director of Global Standards at GS1 US is responsible for developing and advancing GS1 Standards to support visibility and traceability initiatives in healthcare. He is tasked with supporting the efforts of the Rx Secure Supply Chain and the industry’s use of GS1 standards to meet the complex requirements of federal healthcare regulations, Andrew works with GS1 teammates to help promote the adoption of RFID and EPCIS to help drive supply chain visibility. He is a co-facilitator of the GS1 US Healthcare RFID workgroup which published the GS1 Healthcare US Implementation Guideline for RFID in Healthcare Manufacturing. Before GS1 US, Andrew spent over two decades in the pharmaceutical industry in his role as the director of operational compliance at Mutual Drug he worked with industry peers and trade organizations to find novel solutions to the complex problems posed by state and federal traceability regulations. Later he worked for LSPediA, a DSCSA solution provider in the director of Supply Chain role, where he and his team helped companies comply with the requirements of the DSCSA.
